Local watercolor artist Newt Greiner opened his first solo show yesterday at the Tupper Arts Center.
Last night there was a reception for him and I was among others who attended the meet-and-greet. I met Newt several years ago when I took some watercolor painting lessons from him. Happy to report that he is holding classes every Tuesday evening at the Tupper Arts Center.
There were more than 50 of Newt’s watercolors displayed. Two that particularly caught my eye were Glow of Autumn and Blue Jay Perch. Also on display were some of his work in acrylic and digital arts.
Newt’s show runs through May 19, so if you’re in the neighborhood, stop in and take a gander. It is well worth your time.
